Our Service
Modern contact lenses are safe and comfortable to wear, but it is important that they are correctly fitted by an optical professional and that the ongoing health of the eyes is monitored.
Every part of our contact lens care from initial fitting and “teaches”, through to ongoing contact lens checks is carried by our fully qualified and experienced optometrists and for that reason we don’t offer “free” contact lens trials.
Being independent opticians means we are not tied to any one manufacturer, and we will fit and supply you with the most appropriate lenses for your visual needs, lifestyle requirements and budget.
We are able to supply lenses from all of the most popular brands such as Acuvue, MyDay, and Focus Daillies, through to specialist lenses that are bespoke for each patient. There is no restriction on what contact lens products or services can be offered to our patients. We provide a full aftercare service, where after the initial consultation, we see patients regularly every six to twelve months.
Our direct debit scheme
Most of our patients who wear contact lenses regularly choose to join our contact lens direct debit schemes. This is the most economical way of paying for your lenses and ongoing eyecare, and also gives our patients a 30 percent discount on glasses and sunglasses.

Our extensive range of contact lenses include:
Daily Disposables
These can be worn on a full-time basis or for occasional wear. They are ideal for schoolchildren, as well as for social and sports use. Their ease of use and health benefits make them by far the most popular for all age groups.
Fortnightly and Monthly Soft Lenses
These cost less than daily disposables and are used in conjunction with lens care solutions for overnight cleaning.
Multifocal or Varifocal Contact Lenses
These lenses, which are available in daily, fortnightly and monthly form, are prescribed to people over 40 who don’t want to wear spectacles all the time. They enable you to see at all distances, eliminating the need for bifocals or reading glasses.
Tinted/Coloured Contact Lenses
These are for cosmetic use as well as for vision. We can provide lenses for a dramatic change or for a subtle new look.
Extended Wear Contact Lenses
These are soft contact lenses that allow your eyes to breathe all day and all night. They can be worn for up to 30 days continuously.
Myopia Control Lenses
Slowing the growth of Myopia (short sightedness) in children is one of the great challenges facing opticians today, and we have a range of products including both contact lenses and spectacle lenses that can slow its progression, ultimately leading to better vision and eye health in the future.
Gas Permeable Contact Lenses
These are a rigid type of contact lens used to correct more irregularly shaped eyes as well as standard prescriptions. They also need daily cleaning but last longer than soft contact lenses.
